A prep table that has been inspired by the ‘under the stairs’ kitchens at Lanhydrock House in Cornwall. This National Trust property is one of our favourites because the kitchens are all so inspiring and relevant today. It’s hard to better the whole concept of these kitchens, their austere beauty and their supreme functionality and most importantly, their ability to feel totally current.

The Dairy Table has grand proportions and brass detailing and is so in keeping with the deVOL aesthetic and style that we knew it would be a versatile and beautiful addition to our new Heirloom Collection. We love bringing a design that has stood the test of time both in functionality and style into a new era.

Made from richly stained European oak, this table is quite the statement, but, as is our way, also very understated. Hand-turned legs, hand-cast solid brass handles and a smooth, cool Carrara marble worktop that has a beautifully rounded edge. It will sit comfortably with all our furniture ranges but will also work with an existing kitchen as a standalone piece. The big deep drawers and scale of the piece means it works really well in large spaces and would definitely bring a certain kind of class to a room. We imagine it laden with produce and being the go-to spot for pretty much everything that happens in a kitchen, from kneading dough to having a party. This is the piece that everyone will gravitate to whatever time of day it is, they will fall in love with its shape and realise they pretty much couldn’t live without it.

The Dairy Table has two solid oak drawers on one side, a long brass hanging rail on the opposite side and short brass rails at both ends.
