Description

This unique and rather ornate looking catch was inspired by an old catch found on a vintage cupboard by Robin, our Managing Director. We all loved the original one as much as Robin and once we had redesigned certain aspects, it became clear it was going to be a very special deVOL catch.

What we particularly like about The Rack & Pinion is its ability to look and feel old, authentic, and beautifully solid and sturdy. Buy just one and put it on a vintage cupboard and you instantly have a very smart looking cupboard or include it on one of our curiosity cupboards or sink cabinets and it adds a really unusual touch.

We see this as a special catch which does not need to be fitted onto several cupboards, in fact on the contrary, using it sparingly just adds to its appeal.

Care & Maintenance

To ensure the door closes securely, we recommend the catch is fitted with a 6-9mm gap. Pre-drill pilot holes before fixing the screws.

Clean with mild soapy water and a soft towel. Harsh cleaners with bleach and scouring pads will scratch and damage the finish.

Sustainability

Almost all of our packaging is fully recyclable and our designers are constantly working with suppliers to make improvements in this area.

Please recycle your packaging in accordance with local regulations.

You can view a full delivery quote for your basket and shipping address in the checkout. All charges shown include any applicable tax and duty.

We offer one tracked service from DHL. For UK orders, each item will be dispatched as soon as it is ready and should arrive within 1-3 business days.

International orders will be dispatched only when all items are ready and they should arrive within 3-5 business days. If you wish to receive individual items as soon as they are ready, please consider placing them as separate orders.

Returns

This item is eligible for return within 28 days of delivery.

Any items returned to us in the condition in which they were sent will be refunded in full, excluding any delivery fees (and a 10% restocking fee if you are ordering from outside of the UK).

We are unable to cover any return postage costs, or any loss or breakages that occur during the return process. We therefore recommend that returns are made using the original packaging with a tracked, insured and signed for service.
