What a great start to the year…

We have started the year with some very exciting news… We are the winners of the Houzz ‘Best of 2016’ award in the ‘design’ category, wow!!
deVOL’s work has been chosen from among more than 1 million other home and design professionals, as some of the most popular with the 35 million+ monthly users on Houzz. This means our beautiful photographs and customer advice was some of the most loved on the whole Houzz community in 2015. How crazy is that!?
If you’re not part of the Houzz community and not too sure what it’s all about, I’ll give you a quick little bit of info… Houzz is a place to browse and save beautiful home and design photos, a place to share your interiors inspirations and ideas and a place to find design and construction professionals from all over the world. We love to upload all of our most recent photographs to our profile and we also love that we can chat away with our customers in a really easy way. I think I may have mentioned this before, but Houzz has this really cool little ‘ask a question’ feature on every single image which is uploaded… this means that if you see a photo you love but have no idea what the paint colour they used is, or where the lights are from, or which flooring has been used, you can simply ask the question and a professional or other Houzz community member will give you an accurate and quick answer.
I thought a lovely little way to celebrate our ‘Best of 2016’ award would be to do a roundup of deVOL’s top 3 most popular photos on Houzz, ever!
So here goes, in 3rd place is this shot from our Queens Park Kitchen, it has been shared 8,636 times.
And in 2nd place, a favourite from our beautiful Warwickshire Barn Kitchen, this one has been shared 10,792 times.
And our most popular photo on Houzz, ever, is……
This shot of our cool little Hither Green galley kitchen, which has been shared 16,358 times!! wow!! Maybe not the photo you were expecting me to say, but I think everybody loves this kitchen because they can so easily imagine it in their own homes. Simple, practical and beautiful, a pretty perfect space we think.
And something else that has made the start of 2016 very happy for us… our beautiful Balham Kitchen received a double-page feature in Living etc. It looks so so so good and there’s also a little expert quote in there from our creative director, Helen, too. Thank you so much Living etc!!!
