Waste Not, Want Not.

We try our very hardest to be efficient and economical with the natural materials that we use to craft our kitchen furniture. Our timber is responsibly sourced from managed forests, and our paint is water based, which is far better for the environment than oil based paints. There are inherently off cuts and waste and we always try and utilise these offcuts as sustainably as possible. Our wood offcuts feed our wood stoves that help keep our Cotes mill showrooms and offices warm as well our smaller workshops.
At our primary workshop we decided to try and utilise these offcuts as efficiently as possible. We relocated the staff canteen upstairs which cleared the space to install a large wood waste heater. It has allowed us to heat the whole of the workshop purely from our waste products.
