Our Tysoe Street Showroom Has Had A Little Update
12th August 2022
We opened our Tysoe Street doors in the winter of 2014. It was our first showroom in London – our second in total at that time! – and so of course we had to fill it top to toe with our favourite and most popular deVOL pieces. Eight years later we decided it was time to give it a little spruce…

deVOL furniture is never ripped out and chucked. It doesn’t have to be, our kitchens are designed and made to last forever, they age with you and your home and remain functional and beautiful throughout. But investing in great quality cupboards doesn’t mean you can’t ever have a refresh if you fancy it.

The bones of the room in our Tysoe Street showroom stayed the same. The Shaker cabinetry remained in place, as did the exterior Pantry Blue paint that has become quite a key ‘deVOL look’ over the years… but we decided to add a pop of colour to the internals, opting for sunny ‘Scullery Yellow’, one of our newer Shaker shades that has completely stolen our hearts.

We also replaced most of the hardware with knobs and handles from our handcrafted range, in a new finish called ‘Heirloom Brass’. It’s a little warmer than our other brass options and is polished, it gives any piece of furniture quite a grand, traditional look which we love. Isn’t it amazing how a space can seem instantly transformed with something as little as a pot of paint and a change of handles. We could have stopped there and been happy but we decided to go just one step further…

The Dairy Table now takes centre stage in this room and works so well with the simple Shaker furniture. It is part of our Heirloom Collection, an elegant oak island inspired by the ‘under the stairs’ kitchens of the past. This traditional prep table is perhaps not something you would immediately imagine for a quirky London property but actually, it works perfectly and proves you don’t need an old manor house for this style to work.

We also added our brand new Cream Subway Tiles (more on those soon!), an iron Pot Hanger above the Lacanche cooker, Café Curtain Rails with wispy white linen, Heirloom Gaselier and Task Lights and our much-loved Helen’s Stools.

We are completely chuffed with the new space. It feels so different, and yet there’s still all the charm of the original kitchen. If you are thinking of changing up a room in your home, whether that’s adding a few new fittings or a whole new piece of furniture, we hope this gives you the final push to just go for it! And remember, we’re here if you need a hand with anything.
