Our sister company, The Pink Pantaloon Co.
21st January 2016
The thing I love most about my job is that every day is totally different and I get to be involved in lots of very crazy and very cool stuff. Just before Christmas, I went back to Cotes Mill for a few days to do a photoshoot for deVOL’s sister company ‘The Pink Pantaloon Co’… I really love living in London, but once in a while it’s just the best thing to go back to the Mill, I miss all the guys there.
We have blogged about The Pink Pantaloon Company before, but I guess there’s lots of you who may not realise that the owner of deVOL, Paul, also owns The Pink Pantaloon Company. Ok, so you might be thinking kitchens and knickers!??? how did that happen!? But it did happen and it does work and it’s so much fun.
PPco. have a range of beautifully delicate lingerie and loungewear pieces, for men and ladies, all made from one roll of the most gorgeous dusky pink silk. It all started with the men’s ‘George Pantaloon’, such a time- less piece and wardrobe staple for the stylish man. From there we have added two more core men’s pieces and an utterly cool mix of ladies styles, from simple and sexy French knickers, to a very unique playsuit and our brand new little silky bralet.
Things are moving pretty quickly here and we’ve just launched a brand new vintage collection… we’ve sourced some old classic pieces from Chanel, Diane Von Furstenberg and Balenciaga, to name a few, re-worked them slightly and given them a little bit of love to make them look totally beautiful once again. Check out the new vintage collection here!
Just like our deVOL Kitchens, every single Pink Pantaloon Co. piece is handmade with love and the highest quality materials, right here at our Cotes Mill home. Something that is so important to us, and something that we are very proud of.
We were super keen to get all of our lovely vintage bits and bobs up and for sale on the website, but first we needed to shoot them. Paul and Helen somehow stumbled upon some old photographs and video footage of Pattie Boyd and George Harrison, and just fell totally in love with everything about them. Their looks, their style, the way they looked at each other, the way they moved, everything… And there was the inspiration for the shoot. I played the part of Pattie Boyd, and our new and very cool graphic designer, Huw, was George Harrison. How similar do Huw and George actually look!!?

… and it was Huw’s first time doing anything like this, he was so chilled and cool and calm!! Such an amazing job.
The location for this shoot was in one of the old Cotes Mill houses, just across the road from the Mill itself. The house is in need of a little tlc but that’s the way we wanted it, the worn out retro vibe worked so perfectly with the Pink Pantaloon vintage pieces. My favourite backdrop was the bluey greeny textured wall, the paint and plaster has crumbled off in such a beautiful way, it almost looked like an old map of the world was covering the walls. Oh, and check out the retro yellow kitchen cupboards below… love it!!

All of our brand new photographs are up on the gallery section of The Pink Pantaloon website now and they look so good! Each gallery has been named after a George Harrison or Beatles song and if you’d like to check them out, just click here. We’d love to hear what you think.
I hope you’ve enjoyed hearing a little bit about deVOL’s sister company and having a peak at all of the latest photographs from our vintage shoot. If you’re looking for a very special gift or a little treat for yourself, we’d be very happy if you checked out ‘The Pink Pantaloon Company’, we just know you’ll love what we do.
And I’ll leave you with my favourite shot of the day, Huw and his gnome… byeee!
