Jon, Sri Lanka, a cookery book!!

Tom our workshop manger here at deVOL introduced us to his mate Jon Lewin, a really lovely and very cool guy who always wears flip flops, you know the type…scruffy hair, tanned, drives an old van (actually i’m not sure what he drives but i’m sure it will be an old camper van and if its not it should be!).
Anyway, Jon is a traveller, a cook, a surfer and a photographer and he’s writing a book on Sri-Lanka and its food and we are now really involved in helping him. Its such a great project to be involved in, i love it, we have access to all his thousands of images of Sri-Lanka, the people, and the food. Our job is to create a wonderful book that not only shows his recipes and incredible photography, but gives people a flavor of what it is like to live among the locals of Sri-Lanka, cook on the beach listening to Bob Marley and surf everyday. Jon lives in the ‘Gower’ off grid, in a caravan, yes i know he gets even cooler!! so you can imagine its going to be a fascinating read and we will do our very best to make this book one of a kind.
So Lonely Planet and Jamie Oliver better watch out!! we are mixing it up for the best of both, travel, food, locals and culture……………
