deVOL and Sebastian Cox ‘as good as it gets’

This fabulously cool apartment in Clerkenwell, just across the road from our London showroom is the proud owner of one of the first Sebastian Cox by deVOL kitchens.
We’ve been impatiently waiting for the opportunity to photograph this new range so we can add the pictures to the very first Sebastian Cox Kitchen by deVOL brochure. We have had lots of great images and press from our Cotes Mill displays but it’s not the same as seeing a kitchen in a real persons home. I knew it would look great, because it is in a great building and it is a great design, but it looked more than great, it looked perfect. An understated kitchen that has character and style without being too overpowering.
It’s nice to appreciate the colours and textures of the things you choose for your home, but still feel able to add your own personality. I think this is really important when thinking about your home and how you want to furnish it.
The kitchen filled just one end of a lovely large and very light room, a simple run with cooker, sink, dishwasher and plenty of storage. The fridge and Pantry cupboard sat to the side, a Smeg fridge is always a good idea and paired with the Pantry it looked uncomplicated, practical and so simple. When I say simple I suppose I don’t really mean that, it was in fact quite ornate for a Pantry, beautiful woven beech on the inside and beautiful Heritage glass on the outside.

We are all really proud of this collaboration with Sebastian Cox, it’s been a really rewarding and exciting process and to finally see the finished article in someones home looking beautiful, practical and really special is such a great feeling for us all.
