This pretty deVOL ‘Real Shaker’ kitchen is part of a renovation project by Border Oak, makers of fine Oak framed buildings and extensions; this particular house was in need of complete restoration and will become their show house and place for customers to stay. We work with Border Oak and their customers lots and we always love the finished look of our kitchens in their houses.
Its a simple cottage kitchen that works perfectly, in the base cupboards there is a slimline dishwasher, under counter fridge, integrated oven and gas hob, along with lots of storage in drawers and cupboards. The oiled Oak worktops used throughout the kitchen give a more country feel than marble and granite and look great with the Oak frame on show throughout the property. This living kitchen has no Shaker wall cupboards just our simple canopy, the storage is in vintage cupboards and open shelves, making it the perfect kitchen for those who love to collect beautiful and unusual things.
It has an eclectic feel which suits the cottage look so well and shows yet again how versatile our Shaker range is. deVOL Shaker cupboards have an almost chameleon like quality, they seem to suit whatever style is required, it is the simplicity of the design and the quality of the cabinets and fittings that makes them this way. The Shaker style is sometimes overdone but we have been very careful to keep both our cupboards and our kitchen designs true to the real Shakers who were absolute believers in utter simplicity and quality.
