This beautiful kitchen is fitted with our ‘Real Shaker’ cupboards, the small space in this Holland Park flat has been beautifully and expertly designed and finished.
Although the room is small, with no windows just a skylight, it feels so spacious and airy, through clever colour choices and well proportioned cupboards. The long drawer beneath the hob just makes the room feel so much wider than using small cupboards and drawers. Many people would assume a small room needs small furniture, on the contrary, small spaces need large pieces of furniture, this gives the impression of space, a tip that really does work.
The fitted wall cupboards house storage and a wall mounted boiler, this does mean bespoke wall cupboards, but by fitting them to the walls and up to the ceiling makes all the difference, it gives the room a sleek, neat and un fussy feel. For such a small space it really does feel elegant, rather than miniature like so many small kitchens can look and feel.
The high ceilings mean the canopy although not wide is substantial in height so doesn’t feel squashed in. This type of canopy is so popular as it has a more comfortable feel than a stainless steel extractor, it also has an architectural feel which gives the room character. The finishing touch is one of our ‘Olive Branch’ splashbacks, simple, subtle and understated.
We all love Metro tiles at the moment but this Splash back is definitely a little more individual, the perfect finishing touch to a delightfully small but perfectly formed room.
