Hello from the deVOL Workshop!

It’s been a few months now since we moved into our new workshop on Falcon Business Park in Loughborough and we’re as busy as ever!
It was a move we had been looking to make for a while but finding a building large enough to accommodate all manufacturing departments under one roof was no easy task. It was only a few years ago that everything (including the showroom) was located at our premises on Jubilee Drive and now we have the lovely headquarters at Cotes Mill, our main workshop at Falcon, a dedicated paintshop on Jubilee Drive and another workshop at The Locks. It’s all go here at deVOL and everyone in the workshops deserves massive credit for the hard work they put in every day. Our carpenters are proud of the furniture that they manufacture and this is reflected in the quality of the beautiful kitchens that are now being installed all over the world.
We employ people in the workshops from a wide range of backgrounds. Some have come through woodworking courses at college or had previous experience of site joinery but others have been in retail, for example, and fancied pursuing a more practical career. We love having this diversity and it’s more important to us that their personalities match the ethos of the company and create a nice working environment for all.
It’s quite an operation required to keep up with the demand of our kitchens throughout the year but the summer months can be particularly challenging, with a lot of customers trying to get building works completed in time for the end of the year. The hard work and dedication from everyone in the workshops means that we continue to hit our deadlines, and ultimately don’t let our valued customers down.
